1. Olympia police: Man went on westside vehicle prowling spree: The Olympia Police Department reports that at least 46 vehicles have been broken into since Jan. 1 near Capital Mall.

Former Shelton baseball player says he quit sport because of anti-gay comments: “I experienced both coaches and players make remarks on killing gay people during my time in baseball, and each comment felt like a knife to my heart. 3. Lacey police officer chases suspect across Yelm Highway, makes arrest in shopping center parking lot: About 2 p.m. Sunday, an employee at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital on Whitman Lane Southeast in Lacey arrived at work to find a door forced open. The employee called the owner of the business, who called 911, Landwehrle said.

4. Restaurant inspections for March 16: A reinspection was done Feb. 10, at which time there were 50 red violations and 5 blue violations noted. Another reinspection was done Feb. 24, at which time there were 25 red violations and 5 blue violations noted.

5. Tumwater slowly preparing brewery district for revitalization: The grand vision is to build an economic hub that capitalizes on a blossoming industry in Washington, which has the most distillers in the nation and is second to California for the number of craft brewers.
