Nisqually Middle School evacuated following gas leak

School is back in session following a gas leak near Nisqually Middle School, according to Lacey Fire District 3.

The school was evacuated at about 10:45 a.m. after a gas leak was reported nearby. At about 11:25 a.m., the fire department reported that students had been allowed to return to class.

North Thurston Public Schools spokeswoman Courtney Schrieve said that students weren’t in danger.
