Car strikes Lacey restaurant, then backs into parked cars
No one was injured Tuesday evening when a car struck the entry of Pho Hoa restaurant on Galaxy Drive in Lacey, then went on to hit parked vehicles.
According to Lacey police, the older female driver said she had just had brake work done and didn’t know what happened.
Her vehicle hit the front of the restaurant, causing damage and leaving a bumper in the entrance, according to Sgt. Terence Brimmer, police spokesman. Then, as she backed out, the car spun and struck three unoccupied parked vehicles.
The incident happened at 7:30 p.m. at 1120 Galaxy Drive NE. The driver and her passenger were uninjured.
No charges are pending, Brimmer said, but it is unknown if the incident was caused by driver error or mechanical malfunction.
