Olympia woman, 94, dies from injuries in McCleary car crash
A 94-year-old Olympia woman who was injured March 20 in a car crash near McCleary, has died, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The woman and a 91-year-old man, also from Olympia, were taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia after the crash, according to the State Patrol. She died March 29 at the hospital.
A 66-year-old woman from Tumwater who collided with them was taken to Summit Pacific Hospital in Elma.
According to the State Patrol, the man and woman were westbound on state Route 108 about 1 p.m. when they stopped at a stop sign on state Route 8. They then turned onto eastbound state Route 8 where they were hit by the 66-year-old woman’s car, which was traveling westbound on the same road.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
