Elma Elementary Kindergarten Registration: 9 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m. at the superintendent’s office, located at the elementary school. Children 5 years old on or before Aug. 31 are eligible to register for the 2016-17 school year. Proof of child’s immunizations and a birth certificate are required at registration. 19th annual Resident Council Spring Bazaar: Residents at Providence Mother Joseph Care Center will kick off their annual spring bazaar at 10 a.m. at 3333 Ensign Road NE, Olympia. Spring Arts Walk: The semiannual arts celebration is 5-10 p.m. Friday and noon-8 p.m. Saturday, throughout downtown Olympia.
Procession of the Species: A luminary procession happens 9:30 p.m. Friday in downtown Olympia as part of Arts Walk. The full Procession of the Species is 4:30 p.m. Saturday, with the route beginning at Jefferson and Legion and winding west to Fifth and Water. Find a route map at procession.org/Map.php.
