Living wage: The Thurston County League of Women Voters will meet at 6 p.m. at Traditions Cafe, 300 Fifth Ave. SW, Olympia. Mindie Reule from the Thurston Asset Building Coalition will introduce the Economic Advancement Hub of the coalition. International Dinner: The Olympia High School Rotary club hosts the annual even 6-8 p.m. in the high school cafeteria, 1302 North Street SE,. Money raised from the suggested $3 donation benefits the Tronni Foundation and the Thurston County Food Bank. Information: 360-528-9449.

Nationwide Nurse-In: The second Nationwide Nurse-In will take place on the north steps of the Capitol. The event is designed to bring attention to public breastfeeding laws and to end public breastfeeding discrimination. Information: jsoeltner@aol.com or 989-954-5283.

Rotary dinner and auction: Rotary will host its 14th annual dinner and auction at 5:30 p.m. at the Little Creek Casino and Resort Event Center, 91 W. state Route 108, Shelton. The cost of the sport-themed event is $75 per person. To purchase tickets or donate items, go to spsrotaryauction.org. Proceeds from the fundraiser go toward projects such as SafePlace, The Family Support Center and the Hands On Children’s Museum.
Tumwater Kiwanis plant sale: Buy flowers, vegetables and hanging baskets to support Kiwanis-sponsored youth activities. Sale is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Peter G. Schmidt Elementary, 225 Dennis St. SE.
Veterans Resource Fair: Groups that provide services, resources or opportunities to veterans and their family members will be at the Tacoma Dome, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Dragon Boat Festival: In its 10th year, the festival draws teams from the region, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. along Port Plaza on Budd Inlet, immediately north of Percival Landing, 701 Columbia St. NW, Olympia.
Best plants for NW landscapes: Learn from a local designer and Master Gardener, 10-11:30 a.m. at Plantasia Gardens, 2838 Sandtrap Court SW, Olympia. Includes tour of a local designer garden.
