A 19-year-old man from the Olympia area remained in critical condition Monday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after he was injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

About 4 p.m. Sunday, the 19-year-old, who deputies believe was speeding, was southbound on Case Road Southwest in a Lexus when his car left the road, Sgt. Carla Carter said.

He over-corrected and wound up in the northbound lane, where the Lexus was T-boned by a Dodge Durango, Carter said.

The family of four in the Durango was unhurt because they were wearing seat belts and using properly fitted child safety seats, Carter said.
