Adopt-A-Pet plant sale: Adopt-A-Pet is having its plant sale from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the parking lot of Our Community Credit Union, 2948 Olympia Highway N., Shelton. Adopt-a-Pet is a nonprofit dog shelter at 940 E. Jensen Road, Shelton. Volunteer information can be found at adoptapet-wa.org. Salvation Army Silver Tea fundraiser: The event, which is the main fundraiser for the Olympia auxiliary, includes a fashion show, tea and silent auction. It runs 2-4 p.m. at the Salvation Army Corps Community Center, 1505 Fourth Ave. E., Olympia. Tickets are $20 adults and $8 children. Information: 360-264-4650.
Blooming Bunco Night: Phil Harlan’s Homes 4 Hope Relay For Life Team will host Blooming Bunco Night with dinner at 6 p.m. and bunco at 7, at the VFW Hall, 2902 Martin Way E., Olympia. $20 donation includes a beef or chicken taco dinner, beverages, prizes and the opportunity to bid on auction items. Spring plant sale: 9 a.m.- 3 p.m., at 117 Thomas St. NW, between Harrison and Fourth avenues. Scores of varieties of perennials, strawberry starts at reasonable prices. Proceeds benefit Thurston Santo Tomás Sister County Association scholarship program for students in Santo Tomás, Chontales, Nicaragua.

2016 Olympia Wooden Boat Fair: The 37th annual Olympia Wooden Boat Fair will be at Percival Landing Park in downtown Olympia 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. An addition to this year’s lineup of vessels will be the Navy’s Old Man IV command cutter. Built in 1957, the Old Man IV was designed as a personal transportation ship for admiral.
