Civil War letters: Author Nick K. Adams will read from the collection of David Brainard Griffin’s Civil War letters at the Lacey Timberland Library, 500 College St. SE, 4-5:30 p.m. Adams, Griffin’s great-great-grandson, has compiled the letters into a new book, “My Dear Wife and Children: Civil War Letters from a 2nd Minnesota Volunteer.” All Timberland Regional Library programs are free.
