Saint Martin’s vice president receives Global Connect Award

Josephine Yung, vice president of Saint Martin’s University, received the fourth annual Global Connect Award at a May 12 ceremony.

The award is presented by the Olympia World Affairs Council. John Hamilton, president of the organization, said at the ceremony that, under Yung’s direction, the university has forged relationships with 25 universities in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany and Russia.

Yung’s accomplishments include the Dragon Boat Festival, which celebrated its 11th anniversary this year.
