Southbound I-5 exit to Highway 101 to be closed Tuesday night

Crews working for the state Department of Transportation will repave sections of the southbound Interstate 5 exit to northbound US 101 starting at 11 p.m. Tuesday (May 17).

The southbound I-5 exit to US 101 will be closed from 11 p.m. Tuesday through 5 a.m. Wednesday. During the closure, a signed detour will direct drivers to Trosper Road and northbound I-5.

There are no scheduled closures for I-5 itself.

The work is part of a project to repair and preserve portions of US 101 between Tumwater in Thurston County and Kamilche in Mason County.
