Lane and ramp closures scheduled for Highway 101

Drivers should expect overnight delays on U.S. Highway 101 in Olympia and Tumwater during the week of May 30, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Contractor crews will close lanes and ramps for an asphalt preservation.

Tuesday, May 31 and Wednesday, June 1: One or two lanes will close on southbound Highway 101 beginning at milepost 365.7 near Black Lake Boulevard Southwest. Lanes will close at 8 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. the next day.

Thursday, June 2: One lane will close on northbound Highway 101 from Capitol Lake to Black Lake Boulevard SW. The lane will close at 8 p.m. and reopen at 7 a.m. the next day. The Interstate 5 south exit to Highway 101 will close just before midnight and reopen at 5 a.m. the next day. During the closure, a signed detour will be provided via Trosper Road and northbound I-5.

Friday, June 3: The I-5 north exit to Highway 101 and the Deschutes Way Southwest ramp onto 101 will close just before midnight and reopen at 7 a.m. the next day. During the closure, drivers will be detoured via the I-5 exit to Olympia City Center/Henderson Boulevard, onto southbound I-5, and then onto Highway 101.
