“Bezango, WA” documentary screening: “Bezango, WA” chronicles the art, history and lives of prominent Seattle-area cartoonists and comic artists. 6:30 p.m. at the Lacey Timberland Library, 500 College St. SE. A Q&A with directors Louise Amandes and Ron Austin, and South Sound comic artists will follow. Free.
Kickoff Campaign for Karen Johnson: Campaign kickoff 5:30-7:30 p.m. at South Sound Manor, 455 North Street SE, Tumwater. Johnson is running for the open Position 1 seat in the State House of Representatives, Legislative District 22. Parking is free and light refreshments will be served.

Ohio Northern University National Tour Choir: The First United Methodist Church will present a concert at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary, 1224 Legion Way SE, Olympia. Mason County Forest Festival Goldsborough Creek Run & Walk: Features a 7-mile run/walk, a 2-mile run/walk, and a quarter-mile Junior Jog. Check-in and registration on the day of the event begins at 6 a.m. at the Shelton Post Office. The 7-mile walk begins at 7 a.m. while the 7-mile run and both the 2-mile run and walk begin at 8 a.m. The starting line is at Shelton Valley Christian School with the finish line at the Post Office.The Junior Jog starts at 9:30 a.m. from the corner of Seventh Street and Railroad Avenue; entry fee is $12. National Trails Day: Volunteers are needed to help spruce up the trails at Lake Sylvia State Park. Volunteers should meet at 9 a.m., at the kitchen by the beach area. Bring gloves, string-trimmers, pruners, hand tools, lunch and appropriate clothing and boots. No pets. Work will stop at 1 p.m. Lake Sylvia State Park is at 1812 Lake Sylvia Road N. in Montesano.

American Cancer Society Relay For Life: Cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers and community members will unite for the annual American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Thurston County. The timing of this year’s event has been altered to allow cancer survivors to participate in the Providence Cancer Survivor Celebration from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday.
