Limb to be removed from historic elm in Sylvester Park
A cracked limb in an historic American elm at Sylvester Park is scheduled to be removed at 8 a.m. Thursday (June 16). The work will take between two and five hours, and will temporarily close three parking spots on Washington Avenue.
Enterprise Services, the department that maintains Sylvester Park, has barricaded the area with caution tape out of concern that the limb will fall. Ron’s Stump Removal and Tree Service will use a 65-foot bucket truck to remove the limb.
