A 38-year-old Lacey man is accused of selling heroin out of his downtown Olympia tattoo shop: Forever Tattoo World, located on Washington Street Southeast.

Police arrested Travis D. Jackson on Thursday and booked him into the Thurston County jail. Jackson reportedly told officers that he used and sold narcotics from his business on a routine basis.

Jackson appeared before Commissioner Nathan Kortokrax on Friday in Thurston County Superior Court. Kortokrax found probable cause for two charges: unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and use of a building for drug purposes. He set bail at $7,500.

Public Defender Larry Jefferson said that Jackson has no felony history.

The Thurston County Narcotics Task Force began investigating Jackson in February after a confidential source reported that Jackson was selling heroin out of Forever World Tattoo, located at 422 Washington St. SE. In late February, the confidential source set up a time to purchase heroin from Jackson, according to court documents.

Jackson reportedly sold a bag of a brown, powdery substance to the confidential source for $100. Police identified it as heroin.

On Thursday, Olympia police located Jackson in his vehicle in downtown Olympia. He was arrested, and allegedly told police that he had heroin in his vehicle.

When police searched the vehicle, they found heroin that already had been loaded into syringes, according to court documents. They also found a laptop, two scales, a bank bag containing gold plated money, Suboxone tablets, two cell phones and $200 in cash.
