Arson suspect, 19, arrested after house fire
A 19-year-old man from Centralia was arrested on suspicion of arson after a house fire Wednesday night, according to the Centralia Police Department.
Police believe he intentionally set fire to an occupied multifamily home where he recently had been living. All occupants escaped the fire without injury.
The suspect was located a short distance from the fire, waiting for a taxi, according to police. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail.
The Riverside Fire Authority tweeted that the fire was in an upstairs unit of a converted duplex on the 1200 block of Windsor Avenue in Centralia.
