Brewers catcher Stephen Vogt reports burglary at Olympia home
Stephen Vogt, the Milwaukee Brewers catcher who resides in Olympia, took to Twitter on Monday afternoon asking for help finding items taken in a burglary at his Washington home.
Some baseball memorabilia was stolen, including a framed All-Star jersey and other personalized autographed items.
“Fortunately, it was just things that were taken,” Vogt wrote in his post. “This stuff included a number of personal memorabilia items from some of the players I respect most in this game! These players were gracious enough to personalize these items.”
Vogt’s wife, Alyssa, a former basketball coach at Tumwater High School, said Tuesday that she and their three children were not home at the time of the burglary.
“The invasion of personal space is quite scary,” Stephen Vogt wrote.
Vogt asked in his post that if anyone comes across memorabilia that is made out to Stephen Vogt, they contact him on Twitter @SVogt1229.
Any recovered items also can be reported to local law enforcement.
