This would-be car prowler was caught on camera near East Olympia. Authorities want help identifying him
The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a man who has been looking through car windows in the Summerwood neighborhood near East Olympia.
The agency posted on Twitter on Thursday afternoon, describing a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt, bandana, tennis shoes and carrying a backpack.
He was seen and confronted in a driveway at 4:30 a.m. Monday, and said he was looking for the Chehalis Trail. Cameras show the man walking up the driveway, approaching each vehicle, looking inside and attempting to open doors.
