Tumwater police searching for suspects in possible attempted abduction of 2 teens
Tumwater police are searching for two male suspects in a possible attempted abduction, according to a news release.
On Sunday, two 13-year-old girls from Tumwater reported being followed by two men in a lowered, black pickup truck near the 7800 block of Trails End Drive.
According to the girls, the men pulled up behind them as they were walking home from a neighborhood park. The men, one masked and the other covering his face, then got out of their vehicle and continued to pursue the girls on foot.
The girls ran, but the suspects continued to follow. The girls eventually called 911 on a cell phone and reached their home.
Both men are described as light-skinned white or Hispanic, estimated at between 30 and 40 years old, and about 5-foot-10 to 6-0.
The driver of the vehicle has a husky build, police say, and is believed to have been wearing a ski mask partially covering his face and head, and a black T-shirt and jeans.
The passenger had a thinner build, and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Their pickup truck is described as mid-sized, possibly a Chevrolet.
Anyone with information about the suspects or their whereabouts is asked to call Tumwater police at 360-754-4200.
