Girl, 15, missing after running away from Yelm-area foster home

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding a 15-year-old who ran away from her foster home near Yelm this week.

Alexia K. Buchaanan was living at a temporary foster home on Solberg Road Southeast near Yelm, according to the Sheriff’s Office. She left the home about 7:45 p.m. Monday. Authorities don’t think she left in a vehicle.

Alexia had been telling people where she lived she planned to run away, according to the Sheriff’s Office. She is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, 104 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. The teen was last seen wearing light brown skinny jeans, a black T-shirt and white shoes.
