Speeding teen driver crashes into Black Lake store, deputies say
A 17-year-old driver was speeding just before he crashed into the Black Lake Grocery store early Thursday, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.
The teen was southbound on Black Lake Boulevard Southwest about 1:30 a.m. when his 2004 BMW left the road near Goldsby Street Southwest and crashed into the small store.
The teen had minor injuries and was cited for reckless driving and other infractions, said Lt. Tim Rudloff.
Later in the day, a large sheet covered half the front of the building where the car hit.
