Armed robbery at Lacey spa could be linked to two others this week, police say

Police are looking for a man who robbed at gunpoint the owners and a customer at a Lacey spa Thursday evening — the latest in a string of armed robberies in the area that police believe could be linked to the same suspect.

About 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Lacey Police responded to Luxe Spa on the 8700 block of Tallon Lane Northeast, Sgt. Shannon Barnes told The Olympian. A man had reportedly entered the business with a handgun and demanded cash from two owners and a customer.

The victims gave the man an undisclosed amount of money along with their cell phones, Barnes said, which police recovered.

Police had not arrested the suspect as of Friday morning and were investigating how he got away, according to Barnes.

Video surveillance footage shows a man wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt with an “ENYCE” logo, a blue face covering, jeans, work gloves, and mid-top shoes. Victims described the man as between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 with a thin build.

Victims in two armed robberies in Olympia earlier this week — at Twisters Donuts on Sunday and at Silvers Saloon on Wednesday — described a similar suspect, and photos released by Olympia Police Department Thursday show the suspect in a similar, if not the same outfit shown in the photos released by Lacey Police.

Barnes said the two departments are working together to investigate.

“We’ve already reached out and have been in contact with the Olympia Police Department,” Barnes said. “There are similarities, so we will definitely be sharing information.”

Lacey Police were looking for video surveillance at surrounding businesses Friday.

Anyone with information on the Lacey robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers of South Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS or Lacey Police Detective Jon Mason at 360-459-4333.
