Lacey Police investigating Tuesday robbery at Safeway

Lacey Police are investigating a Tuesday evening robbery reported at a Safeway pharmacy.

About 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the store on the 1200 block of Marvin Road Northeast, Sgt. Shannon Barnes told The Olympian. Two men had reportedly jumped over the pharmacy counter to steal over-the-counter medication, Barnes said.

No weapons were displayed and there were no reported injuries, according to Barnes. The suspects left in a black Chevy car and police had not found them as of Wednesday morning.

Police are investigating and following up to see if there could be any related robberies in the area, Barnes said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mike Caranto at 360-459-4333 or Crime Stoppers of South Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS.
