Lacey police arrest suspect in Friday morning stabbing

Law enforcement arrested a man suspected in a stabbing incident on Friday, just hours after asking the public for help locating him.

The 18-year-old suspect was arrested at 6:25 p.m. Friday. Police issued a public request for information on the suspect’s whereabouts after the Friday morning stabbing.

Lacey police Sgt. Shannon Barnes said police were dispatched to the 4300 block of 29th Avenue Southeast to reports of man who had suffered a stab wound to the chest. When police arrived, the suspect had fled with his girlfriend in a tan 2011 Ford Taurus.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and was treated for his wounds.
