A 44-year-old Tumwater man was arrested Friday afternoon, accused of breaking into an apartment and forcing a woman to have sex with him.
The man was arrested at the complex in the 300 block of Lee Street Southwest. Tumwater police Detective Jen Kolb said the suspect worked there as a maintenance person.
Kolb said the incident took place earlier in the week and that the man fled the scene. Police located the suspect at the apartment complex about noon Friday.
He was booked into the Thurston County Jail on suspicion of second-degree rape and first-degree burglary. He is expected to appear in Thurston County Superior Court on Monday afternoon.
