Lacey police want help identifying driver who ‘recklessly’ fled from traffic stop Sunday
Lacey police want the public to help identify a man accused of recklessly fleeing from a traffic stop in an unlicensed van Sunday evening.
An officer attempted to stop the man near a gas station at 1601 Marvin Road NE at 6:14 p.m. Sunday. The man drove an unlicensed Toyota Sienna van and did not stop, according to a Lacey police Facebook post.
Instead, police say the man “drove recklessly” through the intersection of Marvin Road Northeast and Quinault Drive. The post indicates he ran a red light and almost caused several collisions before fleeing north on Interstate 5.
Lacey police describe the suspect as a white man, estimated to be in his early 30s, with long, black hair in a “man bun.”
A photo shared by Lacey police shows the man in a dark hoodie. Another photo of the van he drove shows stickers on the rear passenger side window and an unlit brake light.
Anyone with information about the man can contact non-emergency dispatch at 360-704-2740 and reference case number #2025-0594.
