The Mason County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man armed with a gun who attempted to rob the Little Creek Casino in Shelton.

According to a social media post from the Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at 11:24 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9. A man entered the casino’s supervisor station, displayed a handgun, and demanded money.

The man was told there was no money in the till, and he fled on foot. Patrol and K-9 units searched the area but were unable to locate him.

He was last seen running toward Highway 101, then onto the overpass and out of sight, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

He was described as a possibly Hispanic male, between 20 and 30 years old, and approximately 5-foot-7 with a small build. He was wearing a gray or dark flannel button-up shirt, dark gray pants, dark “Romeo” style boots, a light gray hat with a white Nike logo, and sunglasses. He had a clear plastic glove on his right hand and was armed with a pistol.
