Officers nab suspect in Shelton drive-by
Mason County sheriff’s officials say they have apprehended a suspect in a drive-by shooting that was reported about 4:45 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Golden Pheasant Road, a mile south of Shelton.
“A person identified by witnesses was a passenger in a vehicle and discharged a firearm at another vehicle occupied by several individuals,” Detective William Adam with the Mason County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a news release. “The suspect vehicle then fled away.”
The suspect, whose identity was not released, was apprehended about 9:15 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of West Wyandotte Avenue in Shelton during a medical call and possible disturbance, Adam said. The Shelton Police Department also responded.
No other information was released, and the case remains under investigation, Adam said.
