Military gear stolen from parked car in Lacey

The Lacey Police Department is searching for a suspect who stole military equipment from a parked vehicle Friday, according to Thurston County Crime Stoppers.

The vehicle was parked in the victim’s driveway on Boone Street Southeast when someone entered the vehicle and stole the victim’s Army flight helmet and flight vest. No other items were taken, and the vehicle wasn’t damaged.

The vest and helmet were issued by the Army and aren’t available to the public. The combined value of the items is about $1,750.

Anyone with information about the theft should contact Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1000 for information, and tips may be made anonymously.
