A suspect was arrested Monday afternoon after crashing his car on the North Thurston High School campus off Sleater-Kinney Road.

The North Thurston School District reported that the high school was placed in lockdown but that all students were safe.

Officers disabled the vehicle and took an adult male into custody without injury, according to the Lacey Police Department. The man was having a “mental episode,” police said.

One online post reported that the vehicle ran into fences and hit a steel pole.
