Olympia police investigate possible luring incidents
The Olympia Police Department is investigating two possible luring incidents that took place last week.
A 14-year-old girl reported that she was approached by a man as she waited at a bus stop at the intersection of 18th Avenue and Karen Frazer Road on Nov. 9 and 10. Both incidents occurred at about 7 a.m.
The girl said the man asked her on both occasions if she needed a ride. Both times, she said no and the man drove away.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 40s with dark hair who speaks broken English. He allegedly drove two different vehicles. The first was a small, older-model pickup truck with a blue canopy. The second was a small, white, newer-model sedan with tinted windows.
The Olympia Police Department is asking other residents to report any similar events by calling 360-753-8300.
