No injuries in downtown Olympia crash involving police vehicle

Nobody was injured Thursday afternoon when a driver ran a red light and crashed into an Olympia police vehicle.

Olympia police Lt. Paul Lower said the officer had been heading west on Legion Way at about 4:15 p.m. and was crossing Capitol Way on a green light. A female driver, headed north on Capitol Way, ran a red light and crashed into the patrol vehicle.

The vehicles sustained some damage.
