Tumwater police search for bank robbery suspect
Police are searching for a male suspect who robbed Olympia Federal Savings in Tumwater on Friday night.
The suspect entered the bank, at 303 Cleveland Ave. SE, at 5:24 p.m. and approached a teller, the Tumwater Police Department reported. He demanded that the teller hand over money. No weapon was seen or implied.
The teller complied, and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. He was seen traveling north on Cleveland Avenue Southeast toward Capitol Boulevard Southeast.
The suspect is described as a white male in his late 40s or early 50s, about six feet tall with a slender to medium build. He has a short, patchy beard and balding medium-length brown hair. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt or jacket.
