Rumors of a gun on a Timberline High School bus were false

Rumors that a Timberline High School student had a gun on a school bus on Friday afternoon were false, according to North Thurston Public Schools.

Courtney Schrieve, a district spokeswoman, said Lacey police officers searched the bus after school officials were notified of the rumor. No weapons were found, and police are conducting an investigation.

“The police and the transportation department handled the situation perfectly, and everyone was safe,” Schrieve said.
