Mason County teen arrested for allegedly raping North Mason High student

A North Mason High School student was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly sexually assaulted a female student, according to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office.

The girl reported the sexual assault to staff at North Mason High School in Belfair last week, and a school counselor called 911 to report the incident. She was transported to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton for a medical evaluation.

The girl told school staff that an older male student lured her to the high school parking lot during school hours, then raped her in a vehicle. The male student told her not to tell anyone, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives responded to the scene to investigate, leading to the arrest of the male student. He is being held in the Mason County Juvenile Detention Center.
