Olympia man arrested after allegedly assaulting four people on bus
A 42-year-old Olympia man was booked into the Thurston County Jail on four counts of assault after an incident on a bus about 8 p.m. Thursday.
The Grays Harbor Metro bus was westbound on State Route 8 when the suspect was asked by another passenger to stop drinking and smoking, according to a report by the Washington State Patrol.
The suspect refused and then assaulted four passengers, according to the report. The suspect had a nose injury; the others refused aid.
The suspect was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital and then booked into jail.
Drugs and alcohol are believed to be a factor in the incident, according to the report.
