Tumwater police urge caution after attempted abduction near Munn Lake

Tumwater Police are warning residents of the Munn Lake neighborhood to be careful walking after dark, after a woman reported being grabbed by a man at 9:30 p.m. Monday.

The 40-year-old woman told police an unknown man grabbed her from behind and attempted to pull her into a wooded area, according to police reports.

She was assaulted as she fought her attacker, who fled.

An Olympia K9 unit attempted to track the attacker, but was unsuccessful.

The man was described as 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9 inches tall and thin.
