U.S. Marshals arrest fugitive in Yelm; accused of leading a PA meth ring
A fugitive accused of leading a Pennsylvania methamphetamine ring has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Yelm after nearly six years on the run.
Steven Gerado Reyes, 41, is being held without bail at the Thurston County Jail, where he awaits extradition. He was arrested Thursday in the 16200 block of Curry Court Southeast in Yelm.
Reyes was charged in 2010 alongside other members of a million-dollar meth ring, but was never arrested, according to a Pennsylvania news site, lehighvalleylive.com. Reyes is accused of controlling the operation, according to the report, and the ring members allegedly were cooking meth in bathrooms, hotel rooms and water bottles inside their vehicles.
Reyes was captured in Yelm after an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers of Olympia/Thurston County, according to David Rose of Q13 News, who hosts “Washington’s Most Wanted.”
