Lacey police officer chases suspect across Yelm Highway
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary after he was spotted fleeing from a local veterinary hospital Sunday, according to the Lacey Police Department.
According to Sgt. Kevin Landwehrle:
About 2 p.m. Sunday, an employee at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital on Whitman Lane Southeast in Lacey arrived at work to find a door forced open. The employee called the owner of the business, who called 911, Landwehrle said.
A Lacey police officer showed up and a man fled from the building. The officer chased him on foot across Yelm Highway and arrested the man in a shopping center parking lot on the northwest corner of Yelm Highway and College Street.
The man was booked into the Thurston County Jail, Landwehrle said.
