Yelm man dies at Nisqually jail
A 19-year-old Yelm man was found dead in his cell early Tuesday at the Nisqually Jail.
The man has been identified as Andrew Westling. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday to determine the cause of death, and toxicology results will take up to 10 weeks, said Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock.
Warnock confirmed there were no signs of suicide or assault, and that the man was found unresponsive in his cell. It is unknown if the man had any pre-existing medical conditions.
The Yelm Police Department confirmed that the man was arrested at 10:41 p.m. Sunday in the 16500 block of SR 507 on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and being a minor in possession.
