Transient sex offender registers in Thurston County

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office has issued a general notification regarding level 2 sex offender Robert L. Knox, 55, who has registered as a transient offender in Thurston County.

Knox pleaded guilty in November 1999 in the Circuit Court of Oregon, Linn County, to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and was sentenced to 34 months in custody. The conviction stems from Knox, at 34, sexually assaulting a girl between the ages of 11 and 13.

Knox is described as Native American, 5 feet 11 inches and 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
