JBLM soldier dies during morning run with unit
A soldier died Friday at Joint Base Lewis-McChord during physical training, the base reported.
The soldier, whose name was not released pending notification of his family, was on a run with his unit on JBLM Lewis North when he collapsed.
Emergency medical staff members from Madigan Army Medical Center responded to the scene to provide treatment, but the soldier later was pronounced dead at the hospital, the base reported.
