Environmental advocate Ed Zuckerman named Evergreen trustee
The Evergreen State College’s newest trustee is an alumnus and environmental advocate.
Ed Zuckerman was appointed to the college’s board of trustees by Gov. Jay Inslee. His term began April 1.
Zuckerman is a senior vice president at the League of Conservation Voters and before that led Washington Conservation Voters.
He graduated from Evergreen in 1977, and his son is a recent graduate. Zuckerman’s father was a faculty member at Evergreen and his sister was an adjunct professor, according to the college.
The governor appoints seven members to the board, with the eighth position filled by a student.
