JBLM will be booming this week with mortar training
Mortar training means extra noise and loud booms at Joint Base Lewis-McChord this week.
Three Army units will train with 60mm, 81mm and 120mm mortars from 6:30 a.m. Tuesday until midnight Thursday.
The units that will be using the mortars are 8th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment; 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment and 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment.
