Be warned: JBLM conducting artillery, demolitions and mortars training through Wednesday
Joint Base Lewis-McChord is conducting day and nighttime artillery, demolition and mortar training from now until 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.
JBLM publishes announcements of its late-night or large-scale training involving artillery, demolitions or mortars on its website, Facebook and Twitter. The base does not announce routine daily training.
But the big booms of mortar fire caught a number of county residents by surprise earlier this week, and some reached out to The Olympian, asking for warning.
