Megan J. Bishop , an Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps cadet at Washington State University, Pullman, Wash., has graduated from the Cadet Leader Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky. CLC is a 30-day summer training event focused on training cadets to solve complex leadership issues and problems at the company level. Bishop is a 2013 graduate of Yelm High School, Yelm, Wash.

Army Pvt. Tyler S. Hainsworth has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, Ga. Hainsworth is the son of Trisha A. Rainey of Lacey.

Army National Guard Pvt. Tyler W. Balthrop has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He is a 2012 graduate of Timberline High School, Lacey

Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Farkas, a master-at-arms is a Navy reservist serving with Navy Reserve Naval Security Forces, Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton. The Navy Reserve is celebrating its Centennial anniversary. Congress authorized the establishment of the Federal Naval Reserve on March 3, 1915. Initially, the only sailors eligible to enroll were enlisted Navy veterans. On Aug. 29, 1916, with the prospect of America's entry into World War I looming, the Navy Reserve reorganized to allow the enrollment of non-veterans and designated as the U.S. Naval Reserve Force. Seaman Apprentice Adam Hubbard, an information systems technician is a Navy reservist serving with the Operational Support Unit in Bremerton. The Navy Reserve is celebrating its Centennial anniversary. Congress authorized the establishment of the Federal Naval Reserve on March 3, 1915.
