Update (10:45 a.m.): Heavy traffic cleared as of 10:43 a.m., according to WSDOT.

A crash at milepost 108 near the Olympia-Lacey line blocked two lanes of northbound Interstate 5 Wednesday morning.

The collision involved a car and a semi-trailer and resulted in no injuries, Washington State Patrol Trooper Johnna Batiste said.

It was cleared at about 9:15 a.m., according to the Washington State Department of Transportation, but continued to cause backups.

“Heavy traffic is causing backups and possible delays...beginning at 9:15 a.m. on December 18, 2019 until further notice,” reads a tweet on the department’s Tacoma Traffic Twitter account.
