Two northbound I-5 lanes blocked Wednesday morning near JBLM after crash
Update: The Washington State Department of Transportation tweeted at 8:21 a.m. that this collision has been cleared.
A two-car collision blocked two lanes of northbound Interstate 5 near the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Main Gate Wednesday morning starting at 7:45 a.m., according to Washington State Patrol.
Nobody was injured in the crash, according to Trooper Johnna Batiste, but the cars were unmovable as of about 8 a.m.
“Thankfully, northbound traffic is lighter than southbound” at this time of day, Batiste said. She expected the scene would be cleared by 8:30 a.m.
