Traveling this weekend? Look out for road closures

Flooding, fallen trees, and landslides are wreaking havoc on roads across western Washington. The state Department of Transportation (WSDOT) reported over a dozen closures as of Friday.

As of about 4 p.m. Friday, closures and other impacts included:

Thurston County roads

Anderson Road Southwest: Closed north of U.S. 12 due to local flooding.

Conine Avenue Southeast: Closed due to flooding.

Durgin Road Southeast: Closed due to flooding.

Old Pacific Highway Southeast: At Kuhlman Road Southeast, detour on Kuhlman Road Southeast toward Nisqually Cut Off Road Southeast; at Reservation Road Southeast, detour on Reservation Road Southeast toward State Route 510.

Riverside Drive Southeast: Closed due to flooding.

Sixth Avenue Southeast: Closed due to water over the roadway.

Tilley Road: Speed limit reduced to 25 miles per hour in areas due to water on the roadway.

State roads

State Route 202: Closed both directions north of Southeast Eighth Street, about milepost 17 due to fallen trees blocking all lanes; at milepost 24, eastbound and westbound traffic is alternating due to water over the roadway.

State Route 410: Closed both directions from Mud Mountain Road to east of Greenwater due to water over the roadway.

State Route 131: Closed both directions from milepost 0 at the U.S. 12 intersection to near Cispus Road due to water over the roadway.

State Route 162: Closed both directions at near South Prairie Creek due to water over the roadway.

State Route 169: Closed both directions from 196th Avenue Southeast to Southeast 231st Street due to water over the roadway.

State Route 900: Closed both directions from Talus Drive to Southeast May Valley Road due to water over the roadway.

State Route 706: Closed both directions near Kernahan Road East due to a landslide.

State Route 4: Closed both directions from milepost 22 to milepost 26 near Mullen Road due to a mudslide.

State Route 530: Alternating eastbound and westbound traffic east of Suiattle River Road due to water over the roadway.

State Route 508: Closed both directions due to a mudslide.
