You can expect delays during your morning commute if you’re traveling through Thurston County over the next two weekends.

The Washington state Department of Transportation announced March 6 there will be crews working from 6 a.m. to noon on March 11 and March 12, as well as on March 18 and March 19, to clean the Nisqually River Bridge.

Crews will close one lane of I-5 at the bridge for the annual cleanup, according to a news release from WSDOT.

The first weekend, northbound traffic will be reduced to two lanes. The second weekend, southbound traffic will be reduced to two lanes. People are being asked to reschedule their trips, add additional time and other measures to avoid the work zone.
